Today we are going to discuss a few places that you might forget to clean, but that could really use it! Pull up those sleeves, grab your supplies, and meet me at Step 1.

Supplies you will need:
* Window cleaner
* 2 rags
* Water
* Peppermint oil
* Feather duster
* Spray bottle

Note: Always get permission from your parents before you use cleaning supplies.

1. Windows
Windows play such an important part in your room! They give you light, offer you a view, and let in fresh air, but somehow these helpful pieces of glass get overlooked. Let’s start by cleaning your windows!

A. Get some help from you parents to take out any screens.

B. Grab your window cleaner and thoroughly read the instructions on the back. Follow each step specified on the back without skipping any of them.

C. Put the screens back on your windows, and you are done!

2. Baseboards
Your baseboards are little hidden treasures. They hide the messy ends of your floor and give your room a completed look - yet you hardly notice them! Give them what they deserve by giving them a “spa treatment “.

A. Take your duster and run along all of the baseboards.

B. Now grab your spray bottle. Fill it with water and add a few drops of peppermint. You should be able to vaguely smell the peppermint, but it shouldn't be overpowering.

C. Squirt several sprays of the peppermint water into your rag and wipe the rag along the baseboards. Refresh your rag by giving it another squirt or two after you clean every couple of feet.

Nifty note: Did you know that spiders don’t like peppermint? It won’t kill them, but it will strongly deter them from bothering your room.

Great job!
